Octabit Solutions is a Dar es Salaam technology company. We own and run our own software products, and we build custom software, networks, CCTV and hosting for other businesses. Same engineering discipline, wherever the work comes from.

The company began from a straightforward frustration: plenty of businesses around us were running on software that nobody had designed for them. Systems that assumed a stable connection. Systems that assumed one branch, one currency, one way of paying. Systems that were sold and then abandoned.
So we started building the alternative: first as internal tools, then as products we own and run ourselves, and now as bespoke systems for businesses that need the same thing. What has not changed is the standard: if we would not run our own operation on it, we do not ship it.

Eight bits make a byte, and every computer system starts from the byte.

From the Greek oktō, meaning eight. The eight squares in our mark, the eight principles we work by, and the eight services we offer all come from it.
A one or a zero
A binary digit, the smallest unit of information a computer has: either 0 or 1, never a maybe. Every system gets its precision from the bit.
Where every system starts
Eight bits make one byte, the basic unit every computer stores and processes. Every app, every report, every system is built up from bytes. So is everything we build.
Octa × bit = byte: the foundation every computer system is built on. We named the company after it because that is where our work starts too, from the ground up.
